What Are Boundaries & Why Should I set Them in Relationships?

Setting boundaries is something we often fail to do in relationships although its one of the most important pillars in having a successful relation with another.

Boundaries can be defined as the structure you put into place identifying what is it that you will tolerate, accommodate and accept from another person. Setting boundaries is a true act of self-love and self-respect.

 
 

Healing Through Forgiveness

Forgiveness has been defined as a conscious decision to release negative feelings and emotions toward
someone who has harmed you (just as if you were releasing balloons into the open sky).

This does not mean you must continue to tolerate the person who harmed you. It doesn’t even mean they deserve to be forgiven. Forgiveness simply means you are choosing to let go of the negativity you have been holding on to when you think of that person. Sometimes forgiveness can also mean letting go of negative feelings towards yourself.
